Boundaries: Where I End and You Begin

Boundaries are the framework within which the therapist/client relationship occurs. Boundaries make the relationship professional, and safe for the client, and set the parameters within which psychological services are delivered.

If you are are joining RHS for a retreat, program, therapy, workshop, immersive, class, etc. It is required that you read, understand the following agreement.

My Sex Therapy Philosophy

SEX IS NOT A PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED, IT’S A MYSTERY TO BE DISCOVERED

Every sex and relationship therapist is going to have different boundaries and a different approach to navigating this work.

  • Holistic- the parts of you are deeply interconnected and can be explained only by reference to the whole- the earth and all of yours/its essence

  • Somatic-based- grounded and rooted in yoga, meditation, tantra, reiki practices and disciplines that enhance body-based intelligence

  • IFS-focused (Internal Family Systems Therapy)

  • Comprehensive Sex Education is Centered

  • Decolonizing and Liberation-focused

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Informed

  • Rooted In Acceptance and Awareness

  • Trauma-Informed

I strive to provide compassionate care to all people/bodies, paying special attention to intersectionality of identity and social oppression.  I hope to provide a safe and validating space through which folks can explore their individual goals and challenges, particularly those issues connected to (but not limited to) sexuality. 

A sex and relationship therapist is a licensed mental healthcare provider who specializes in helping you address any emotional or mental roadblocks that are causing or are related to sexual issues. A sex therapist could be a social worker, medical doctor or psychologist, but they must have specialized training in sexual health and sexual problems. For example, sexual anxiety, arousal Issues, desire discrepancy, Intimacy Issues, enhancing sexual communication, and SO much more. Find out more information on our Sex Therapy Focus Page.

This is what I do not do, and please do not ask me:

A sex and relationship is NOT a sex surrogate, partner surrogate, sexological bodyworker, somatic sex and relationship coach.

Do not ask me for sex work.

I am not an early intervention therapist or a crisis therapist- please refer to community mental health resources or your local crisis hotline for further assistance.

FAQs

  • No, All therapy appointments, consultations, programs, and retreats and immersive are nonrefundable.

    Unless otherwise you are experiencing an emergency (hospital, severe illness, etc.) which might deter from your therapy appointment time. Your fee will be waved.

  • sessions can vary:

    55 minutes is the traditional therapy apt

    90 minute option for 1.5X therapy cost.

  • one of my roles is to ensure you and myself are both psychologically and physically safe.

    I will always prevent inappropriate relationships

  • I currently do not personally accept gifts from clients.

    I do however honor that gifting is an act of love and care and sometimes we are able to incorporate gifts into the office space. waiting area-offices and receive on behalf of the entire office

  • We have a 24 Hour late cancellation policy. Apt change of time or cancellation requires at the bare minimum, a 24 hour notice. NO exceptions unless otherwise you are in an emergency

  • Any sexual advances or innuendos the session will stop immediately, for patient and therapist safety

  • If you are interested in reiki (gentle touch), yoga, or tantra meditations and disciplines you will be onboarded as a coaching client not a psychotherapy client. Additionally, please read further details about tantra meditations and disciplines

  • In honor of my teachers and lineage I share guided breath work, guided somatic meditations, gentle kundalini movement, asanas, mantras, mudras, Ayurveda, Yajna, and yantra- if you have questions I am happy to schedule a consultation (55min= $125-175 sliding scale)
